COMMACT supports people-centred development organisations and projects in countries around the world.
Their activities are diverse and provide, for example, education and skills, economic independence, housing, health, and family support. In common they share the aim to empower and enable poor and marginalised individuals, groups and communities to increase the control they have over their lives.
For the past six years a growing group of people from non-profit, non-government and social enterprise community organisations in India, Australia, the United Kingdowm, Malaysia and New Zealand have been meeting to work out ways to share what they have learned, to ask each other questions, and to offer each other support.
This website keeps members of COMMACT and any other interested individuals and organisations in touch with each other.
